DIRECTOR: Yorgos Lanthimos - GREECE

The Lobster is a love story set in the near future where single people, according to the rules of “The City,” are arrested and transferred to “The Hotel.” There they are obliged to find a mate in 45 days. If they fail, they are transformed into an animal of their choosing and released into “The Woods.” A desperate man escapes from The Hotel to The Woods where The Loners live and falls in love there, although it is against their rules. Winner of the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, Lanthimos’ surreal romantic drama, with its absurdist science fiction premise, offers a provocation on almost any subject you choose. In English. (119 mins.)

Filmography: Alps (2011), Dogtooth (2009)

Tickets to The Lobster are entirely sold out. There will be no rush tickets available.
